Originally founded in 1696, Oakland Plantation is now owned by the Gregorie Family. Family ownership dates to 1859.

Oakland Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, SC is a privately owned 370 acre plantation. It's main house and outbuildings date to c.1740. Entrance to the plantation is made through a beautiful avenue of oaks. There are 50 acres of lakes and a KOA Campground on the grounds. The plantation is available to the film and advertising industries, and has been used in several movies such as: North and South, A Special Friendship, and Town and Country. Numerous catalog companies have utilized the various antebellum backdrops for their advertising.
The plantation is privately owned and not open to the public except for the very popular hayrides offered by the KOA Campground located on the backside of the plantation. To link to the campground please click below.
